Bernard was my
first car. I got him in February of 1992, one month after my passing my driving
test. After a front wheel drive car, I could barely control him and it took
about month to be able to drive him. He was quite a rare car as he had a Chevette
1.3l engine in a mark one Cavalier. I had him for five years before his final
MOT ran out. He was kept on the drive andwas so rusty that bits fell
off him of their own accord. His engine was still good but he was beyond realistic repair. We
had to pay the scrapman £25 to have him towed away. Bernard, Bernard
