Stavvy
We had Stavvy about one month after the arrival of Monty the First. We chose him because he is a Norwegian Forest Cat and we wanted another, like Amelia. His full name is Stavanger but we call him Stavvy for short. He is very powerful cat and rather aloof, though he does have a fuss sometimes. He is the boss of the household and makes sure all the other cats know it. He is five years old.

Tuesday 13th August 2002

It is with great sadness that I report that our darling Norwegian Forest Cat, Stavvy, has died. He was six years and one month old. He died under a neighbour's bush, where we found him. He died peacefully. We have had him cremated and are just waiting for a phone call from the vet's to tell us his ashes are ready for collection.

We miss him dreadfully and ache whenever we see pictures of him. I believe that he is somewhere purring right now, with his brothers and sister. He was a beautiful cat full of character and love. Sadly missed by all who knew him.
